So I go outside, thinking my brother was there to find he was nowhere! I freaked out and looked around everywhere to find that my dad had taken him for a while.. without leaving a note... ARGH!
Then I had to wonder what the dog was looking at, I went down the steps of my porch and looked over to the swing-set to find Homer, our tabby cat who never shuts up and is basically a glutton for... well everything... So I had to go and save him from the dog...
Today I was sitting on the couch, minding my own business when I hear a cat meowing.
"Is your door closed?" I ask my mother, thinking one of the cats were there.
"Maybe," she said so I went to look. The door was wide open and there was no cat."Is there a cat in the bathroom?"
My sister was taking a shower so I knocked and looked inside... No cat.
"Maybe one of the cats got stuck in the basement." My mom said so I put on my shoes and went outside. As soon as I stepped onto the porch I saw Homer and our other orange tabby, Sassie so it was only Caliban that was missing.
I opened the basement door, shoved Homer out of the way, not wanting to rescue him yet again and listened. Water was dripping from the shower above so it was hard to hear, but I definitely heard a cat. I called and called but still couldn't see Caliban anywhere. I climbed the steps out of the basement and looked up and guess what I saw!
Caliban... on the roof...
I sighed and went to the back door.
"Caliban's on the roof," I said. My mom came out to look. Yeah... it took at least half an hour to get the dodo off the roof... unwillingly I might add.. He climbed down, changed his mind at the last second and fell into our arms...
And then Homer, jealous that Caliban was getting all the attention and possibly treats, tried to get stuck up in a tree...
It's going to be a loooonnnggg summer... Sassie is the only one I haven't had to coax off a high ledge in the past two days...
I will have to smack myself if I wake up tomorrow and find her stuck somewhere... Then the outdoor cats will turn into indoor cats..
